As an independent filmmaker of a marginalized identity, I ask from the bottom of my heart that you please pirate my work. Share it, indiscriminately, with as many people as possible. Spread it through larger networks than I could every hope to personally maintain. Make it culturally relevant enough that people all over the world are clamoring to see it. Let it reach big cities and remote villages. Create a demand for it to be seen at all, so there may be a demand for it to be seen “properly.” Seed an interest in the artist behind the work, so I may be invited to appear alongside it at home and abroad.
